Murals & Graffiti Project

Undergraduates at Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina and the University of Padova in Italy researched mural art and graffiti with the goal of discussing whether they are a form of art or an example of vandalism. Students photographed existing murals and graffiti in their cities and described the meaning of these forms of expression in a social and historical perspective. They designed a mural in collaboration intended to reflect how youth identity can be enacted through these forms of expression.
