Malvinas/Falklands Project

The Malvinas Project aimed to facilitate intercultural and citizenship experiencein the foreign language classroom for future teachers and translators of English at Universidad Nacional de La Plata and Spanish Honours undergraduates at the University of East Anglia. Students researched the conflict and engaged in online communication to reflect upon the war and raise awareness in society about the consequences of the conflict. They created posters and leaflets, interviewed an Argentine and an English war veteran, and collaboratively created an advertisement for peace. They finally engaged in civic participation locally by distributing their awareness-raising leaflets in their city and delivering lessons in different contexts.
